Date: 2008-09-10 16:38 Subject: We started this op'ra shit! Security: Public Mood: excited Music: Mark It Up - OST Repo! The Genetic Opera

The last time I was utterly in love with and went completely obsessive over every little part of a movie was during the three year spell of Lord of the Rings (and yes even now I am eagerly anticipating The Hobbit). Since then, nothing else I found quite took my fancy. You could say I'm picky. Hell, I'd say I'm picky too.
But then along came an update from a livejournal user that I watch about a new movie called Repo! The Genetic Opera. It's a musical/rock opera (they call it the Rocky Horror Picture Show meets Blade Runner). About organ reposession. And all the fun things that go along with it.
So naturally it's my kind of movie. And naturally I've gotten quite attached to it.
Now normally I'm not one for musicals. But this I am more than happy to watch multiple times in one sitting.
The cast includes Anthony Stewart Head, Sarah Brightman, Alexa Vega, Paris Hilton (do not judge...she actually does a really decent job from what I've seen and heard), Bill Moseley, and Nivek Ogre, to name but a few.

Unfortunately this movie is only getting a limited screen release in the US, and is possibly not even going to make it anywhere else overseas. But if you are intrigued, go to the site and learn more about it. If you like what you see...well then, I'm glad to have been of service!

Just one more thing before I completely forsake updating for the rest of the month:

I have officially launched my icon journal, rellikicons (don't ask about the name...I thought I was being cool when I spelled 'killer' backwards, sort of going along the whole 'redrum/murder' thing), with the first post made...complete with 50+ icons all for your wonderful lusting/nabbing pleasure.

Due to a recent bout of paranoia, I have decided to make my journal friends only.
I only add people that I know in real life. So any of you out there who happen to find that we share similar interests, or saw me in a community, or whatever, and want to add me, you're going to have a hell of a time trying to convince me.
